The cat in the hat had a lover’s look complete with bedroom eyes

With shirt and pants pressed perfectly, he could not be denied

Words as sweet as honey, moves as smooth as silk

He could charm a baby, out of its mother’s milk

The cat in the hat was getting down, feelin’ pretty tight

Talking up a lady, thought he’d make that night

He told her that he loved her, that they should spend more time

To get to know each other, and then intertwine

The cat in the hat just didn’t see, Big Jake across the street

Who seemed to take objection, to the cool man’s cheek

He walked up to the two of them, then moved in between

Said, boy, this is my woman, now I’m gunna treat you mean

The cat in the hat held up his hand, said I meant no offense

But Big Jake didn’t give a damn, and spared him no expense

He just knocked him silly, threw him through a wall

Into a back alley, just like a bouncing ball

The cat in the hat he didn’t move, until he was assured

That Big Jake’s jealous anger was, at least a little cured

He got up to look around, then turned to walk away

I’m a lover not a fighter, that’s what the cat did say

The cat in the hat went on the run, chose not to stick around

He just left that city, for another town

Where he found another corner, there he still remains

Saying to the passing women, nothing ventured, nothing gained

Saying to the passing women, nothing ventured, nothing gained
